Elevator Pitches are important to hone as you are beginning the journey of being a new business and also to refresh for established owners. An elevator pitch is an introduction of your business to strangers or to acquaintances. A well crafted elevator pitch should cover who you are – what you do, what pain point you solve, how you do it, who your best customers are, what makes you different and why someone should choose to work with you.
That’s potentially alot of information, so a  really good pitch should be able to be adjusted between 30 seconds, 60 seconds and 2 minutes. This allows for getting the most important information in the least amount of time as well as the opportunity to expand on the introduction when time permits.
All to often when networking we hear business owners go on and on but really dont hit the mark on what they should be covering. Its important to realize, elevator pitches don’t just happen, they are well thought out and  they are practiced so they can be given in any time increment. Its good to know too that they can be updated as your business grows and evolves.
